Coachella 2005

28 February 2004

MORE news on the 9 1 X 1 E S from Pitchfork, and I posted a very interesting part, scary enough it seems like something I'd write: "There's something about the fact that two of these festivals have the Pixies playing alongside Metallica and Korn that makes me a little uneasy."

Pitchfork is all over Chan Marshall. It's kinda scary.

"News" on Cat Power from Pitchfork.

I also have half news on Sykes, but I'll only post when I have the other half.

15 February 2004

Jesse Sykes and The Sweet Hereafter have finally put some really good news in their notes section. The new record is finished and the release will be full of gigs and trips around the North hemisphere (something wrong about that). I'd cut a finger (for someone who draws and writes for a job...) to have an interview w/ these adorable folks.

75 or Less has come back to life and brought reviews of some nice album releases.

Not in 75 or Less' list but worth listening is yesterday's release, Auf der Maur.

a nice site from a band called Threnody Ensemble.
There's this new kid, Joss Stone, a 16-year-old soul singer I heard of a few weeks ago on CNN's The Music Room. The link for the official site is on the side bar.
Kann Sie deutsch? Then u can read this Cat Power article from Plastikmädchen.
There's this old and negative review of The Covers Record, but that's in English. The reviewer gives it a 2 out of 10.
